The legitimate heir to Stevie Ray Vaughn's mantle of king of the Texas guitarists, Anson Funderburgh has, for the last half-decade (or since veteran blues vocalist Sam Myers joined up), headed up one of the finest contemporary electric blues bands in the country.
This retrospective traces his career from another no-name Texas guitarist to more recent, more confident, recordings by one of the most respected blues outfits around.
