This review first appeared in the July 30, 1993 issue of the North County Blade-Citizen (now North County Times).

Veteran blues organist Jimmy Smith is still going strong after some 40 years on the national scene. This new collection of straight-ahead blues, blues/jazz KC style and classic R&B is as tight a set as he's ever laid down.

Marlene Shaw adds some earthy vocals on "You've Changed" and "Muddy Water Blues," while Buddy Collette goes toe to toe with Smith's organ on his alto sax.
