Live set captures the full Trower spectrum
'7 0s guitar god Robin Trower may not be on popular music's radar anymore, but he continues to tour and record. A new live recording showcases Trower running through a handful of his classics 1970s songs as well as a fuller set of the more blues-oriented material he's focused on in the decades since. With vocalist Davey Pattison back in the fold (and sounding an awful lot like former Trower singer James Dewar), Trower is free to concentrate more fully on his exceptional guitar work. The result is an album that both captures the glory of his youth and the wonderful work he's done since. |
