This review first appeared in the December 11, 1992 issue of the North County Blade-Citizen (now North County Times).

There's not much here in the way of traditional fare, but the Yuletide spirit still runs strong. This blues compilation features an excellent cross-section of the Alligator stable, from Kenny Neal and Elvin Bishop to William Clarke and Koko Taylor, presenting a variety of original Christmas songs, with the occasional cover (Bishop does a rousing "Little Drummer Boy" and harpist Charlie Musselwhite does a beautiful reading of "Silent Night" on harmonica).

If you're looking for something out of the ordinary that still captures the best of the Christmas feeling, this may be what you're looking for.
