More great pop from Sade
After a several-year hiatus, Nigerian-born singer Sade Adu and her band are back, with their fourth release. Full of the husky vocals and slow grooves that made their earlier albums so popular, "Love Deluxe" is the natural evolution of Frank Sinatra's brand of pop singing with jazz overtones. There are plenty of songs to choose from for potential Top 40 hits, with "No Ordinary Love" already getting heavy airplay. If Sade doesn't have an especially broad vocal range, she knows better than anyone this side of Sinatra how to make the most of a limited voice. |
