This review first appeared in the May 15, 1992 issue of the North County Blade-Citizen (now North County Times).

Joe Louis Walker, the Bay Area bluesman, is renowned both for his excellent studio albums and stellar live performances. This latest effort combines the best of both for a strong outing of contemporary electric blues.

A gifted guitarist and expressive singer, Walker is becoming heir to the mainstream blues tradition of elders such as B.B. King, T-Bone Walker and Muddy Waters.

The technical quality on this "live" release is closer to that generally found in studio recordings, with all instruments and vocals clear and clean.

While not a definitive recording by Walker, this is a good collection that continues Walker's string of quality albums.
